New buyer for macbook. HELP

So i recently was looking for macbooks on craigslist and i have an offer for a white macbook model a1181 with a bad battery (no big deal) but what i am really asking is advice or a place to go to get a mac for a cheap price. it doesnt have to be new.

In my opinion (if you're looking for a used MacBook)...Craig's List is one of the best places. Especially since you get to use it & look at it...to verify that it works properly...and it cosmetically meets your expectations.

I would stay away from Craig's list.

Do as Nick advised. There's nothing wrong with doing business with someone who advertises on Craig's list. Use common sense and take precautions and you should be fine. Meet the seller in a public place like Starbucks so you can test the machine. They have free WiFi.
