Hello Helpful Mac Gurus of the forum world,
Made the switch to mac. (cheering and applauding). Had WD external HD. Put all music on Mac HD at school, formatted WD to Mac OS Extended, bounced files back to HD. Problem:
1. Many files turned into "unix executable files". Can I get this music back? (I no longer have files on mac HD at school).
Next questions:
I'm switching music from WD HD to Lacie HD.
1. The unix exec files won't copy.
2. Files that have long names or are deeply sub-foldered interrupt the copying process... slowing me down significantly. This is a huge amount of music.
3. I have many duplicate files. Is there an efficient way to get rid of duplicate files?
Very grateful for your wisdom.
Thanks,
Zach
ps. Any suggestions on hub to increase amount of USB ports?
