Hi,

My old Palm T has to be replaced and I'm getting a bit past all this high level techie stuff but I am looking for something seemingly simple which must exist somewhere:

I would love to find a mobile telephone which I could use as a telephone (!) and which would sync with my "MacBook Pro's" Address book and iCal via USB. I feel that a USB cable is nice and safe; I have no faith what so ever in "Mobile Me" and other Cloud stuff.

The rest I frankly couldn't care about: Emails, Internet access (both expensive and for me unnecessary), radio, camera etc.

Would an "iPhone" with a sync program do the trick? Could I switch off the Internet/Email part of it?

Thanks for reading and for any suggestions.

I had and used the Palm T for years. An iPhone (or iPod Touch for that matter) is an excellent replacement. You can configure your use of it practically any way that suits your need.

I'm a little confused. I know I'm getting old, but not that old yet. Almost certain I read this same post yesterday and replied to it.

EDIT: And here it is.
