I have downloaded the scan version and it has found numerous areas requiring fixing.

Of course, to fix these, you need to pay. i am willing, provided that this is a reliable programme.

My suggestion is to remove that scareware software from your Mac.

Leave your Windows philosophy behind while using OS X.

If you're looking for a cleaning tool, try Onyx. It's free. You should only need to use it's cleaning 3-5 times a year. I don't even open it until I notice some slow down on my machine. Make sure you download the correct version for your version of OS X.

Further it is a woeful program as is others similar. Onyx is freeware so download it from the Apple web site.
