My 15" 2010 MBP won't go to sleep while plugged in. I close the lid and it just keeps waking up? If I unplug the power supply, it will go to sleep no problem.

Any idea what this could be?

When you go to System Preferences>Energy Savings, there are two tabs - Battery and Power Adapter. Under Power Adapter, do you have the top box (Put the hard disk to sleep when possible) checked?

Do you have any 3rd party apps installed such as Caffeine? Something like that would keep your Mac from going to sleep.

I usually have Chrome running and Adium. Could either of those be waking the computer for network access?

I would just un-check "wake for network access" and see if that helps. :)

Nope. I'm running Lion, but had this problem back on SL as well. :( Any other ideas?

Have you tried a SMC reset? See this Apple KB article: LINK
