When I go in to finder "All files" are previewed. Is there a was to turn this off. I don't want the pictures to show every time I open finder.

Finder -> Preferences -> General Tab: "New Finder windows show:"
Use the drop down menu to select. I have mine setup to show the Documents folder each time it opens.
