Dear mac forum users,
I am new to Final Cut Pro and experiencing a great deal of confusion!
I have made an 11 minute movie which I have exported into a MOV file format. The file is HUGE at 2.2 GB (but currently plays with high quality sound and video). Given most feature length movies are approx. 1.5GB, why is the file size so huge?
My objective is to upload the film to Vimeo in the highest quality possible, retaining a professional look. I have tried to convert the files to MPEG4, but the video quality disappears.
If someone could please explain to me how compression vs. quality vs. file types works in basic terminology (baby steps!) I would be very grateful. I have read many forums on compression software but I am not sure if this is the road I should be taking?
Thank you.
