Beginner Mac Developer

Hi all
Im looking to develop cross platform Apps
and im wondering
Java and RealBASIC are the only ones that allow that with the ease that i am hoping for
but how far can i strech these languages
and if i code in C/C++/C#/PHP/Python/SQL how do i port it on a mac effectivly
what tools will i need

Java, Perl, PHP and Python should be very easy to develop on OS X Tiger.
They are installed by default.
I currently use the terminal for all three of these languages.

You should be able to do C/C++ with the help of XCode

When complete, I then transfer the needed files to wherever they need to go.
