"Double click" - whats that ?

I have lost the the ability to double click and am unable to find the setting to put this feature back functioning. Have tried several makes of mice and still no luck ,I would appreciate any help .This baby is only 6 mths old .

And besides different mice, you've tried.... ?

How about System Preferences > Keyboard and Mouse > Mouse > Double-click speed ?

"Oh, I've tried that."

Oops! I didn't know.

P.S. Check the primary mouse button setting while you're in there.

thx for fix

I have been here and all settings were good or so I thought, mouse double click speed was set on fast ,which actually must mean "faster than the speed of light or not at all ,reduced speed a little and all is good...so I guess sometimes to much is not a good thing .....lol Thank you again

It probably means that the computer was demanding a faster click speed than your index finger is capable of. :D
