Hi...I just installed facetime to my imac - I can't seem to get it to work in widescreen as there are no settings anywhere shown on facetime. The facetime site says something about needing a HD widescreen enabled built in isight camera - I have the 27" mac with built in isight - how do i know if I have a HD version camera - the mac is just over a year old...if i have the HD camera - how do I switch to widescreen from portrait. I know it can be done as there are screenshots on the apple facetime website of widescreen in action...

Thanks

If your iMac is a year old (2010 model) then you do not have the HD iSight camera. The HD iSight is installed on the mid 2011 iMac models.
