I am looking to purchase an 8GB USB Flash drive to transfer movies, tv shows, music, documents, photos, etc. from one macbook to another. I want to purchase the USB from Amazon.com since I feel that they always have great deals. Any ideas or suggestions on what specifically I should be looking for in a drive before I select one? FAT32 VS NFTS?

I want:
Good writing speed, I want to be able to transfer 300mb of media all at once within a matter of minutes and not hours.
Be able to transfer between a minimum of 2 computers (both being mac laptops). Might include a 3rd, being my PC desktop.
Good for the price. Don't want to spend over $15 for a single 8GB.

I don't care about:
The way it looks or how it's designed.
Keychain ring or portable or water resistant.

Undecided about:
Protection software and password encryptions. I wouldn't mind such aspects on a USB as long as it doesnt cause a fuss between my 2 macs. If its easy to use, that would be a plus!

Some I had in mind:
Amazon.com: Kingston DataTraveler 8 GB High-Speed USB Flash Drive DTIG3/8GBZ, White and Yellow: Electronics (write speed seems slow)
Amazon.com: Kingston Digital DataTraveler 101 Generation 2 - 8 GB Flash Drive DT101G2/8GBZET: Electronics (seems to have better ratings than its stats)

If you have any experiences, advice, suggestions, etc. please let me know! I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to read and answer my post. Thank you dearly! :)

I'm currently recommending the Patriot Xporter XT.

What was taking an hour to transfer to my Cruzer, takes maybe 10 minutes on this thing.

Haven't done any timed tests on it. But, I was blown away the first time I used it. Went to move about a bunch of stuff which I would have expected a good half hour on the Cruzer and this thing was done in just a few minutes.

I made the mistake of putting my Lion backup on the Patriot instead of the Cruzer (which is what I bought it for), so can't do any testing until I move that around. Or maybe just toss the Cruzer and get another one of these.

+1 on the Patriot Xporter

I have an 8gb Xporter XT that I use as my Lion Boot/Recovery Disk and a 32gb Rage XT as a backup portable drive for my Aperture Library (for when I am traveling).

I actually like Newegg better for buying things that are computer related depends though sometime the prices are cheaper at Amazon and vice versa.

I am also a Newegg fan. I always check there first if I have to order something like that.
