I ordered this USB hub in hopes it would charge the iPad2 while it was plugged into one of the two 'high powered' ports. It does not charge it! This powered USB hub has seven ports in a reasonably easy-to-use tower form configured as two high powered ports and 5 conventional ports, including 2 pass-through ports for headphones and mike. It does work well for USB, but it does not have the power/voltage (whatever) to charge the iPad2. Can't recommend this if you are wanting to have a USB port that will connect/charge with the iPad2.
