2-finger click on a link

i noticed this time, when i 2-finger click a link (i want to open the link in a new tab), the link is highlighted/selected then the menu appears. what's the problem?

??? What is the problem? If you have secondary click enabled in System Preferences a 2 finger click is going to give you a menu of your options. That's what it's suppose to do.

What is it you're looking for it to do?

If you want to auto open a link in a new tab - use command click.

It is in Lion - I already forgot if it was in SL or not - the ravages of senility.

yep, it is normal. Why are you asking? Does it bug you?

I'd guess it does this so you can copy the whole link/link text when using secondary click.
