Every five minutes the ntpd time client generates these types of errors:

Sep 7 20:21:03 MTV-MBA-Laptop ntpd[1106]: bind(27) AF_INET6 fe80::2a37:37ff:fe1e:52f0%4#123 flags 0x11 failed: Can't assign requested address
Sep 7 20:21:03 MTV-MBA-Laptop ntpd[1106]: unable to create socket on en0 (11) for fe80::2a37:37ff:fe1e:52f0#123
Sep 7 20:26:03 MTV-MBA-Laptop ntpd[1106]: bind(27) AF_INET6 fe80::2a37:37ff:fe1e:52f0%4#123 flags 0x11 failed: Can't assign requested address
Sep 7 20:26:03 MTV-MBA-Laptop ntpd[1106]: unable to create socket on en0 (12) for fe80::2a37:37ff:fe1e:52f0#123

I do not want to turn off the time client, but would like to stop these error messages.

Can anyone please tell me where to configure ntpd to stop this action?

Thanks

Mike

This appears to be associated with ntpd trying to make an IP6V connection. I looked at my network and do not see any problems. So,

How do I tell ntpd not to try to do IP6V corrections?

or

How do I tell the Macbook Air to allow IPV6 connections?

Thanks

Mike
