I just received my Audioengine A2's and connected them up and am totally underwhelmed by the sound.
They don't sound as good as the old Creative Inspire 2.1 system that I'd been using from my old pc. I'm tempted to go fish it out of the wheelie bin!
Do I have these connected up correctly?
I have the left and right speakers connected as suggested together via speaker cable, power cable plugged in and the speakers connected to my 27" i-mac via mini jack connector from input B on the speaker to the headphone socket on my i-mac.
It sounds to me very muffled and bass heavy currently. I've tried both mp3 and FLAC recordings and the sound is the same.
Maybe the Inpires are better than I thought or the Audiengines don't live up to their hype, not sure which yet.
I'd hate to think I'd wasted £140 on these!
