macbook pro dvd burner problem

I have an older macbook pro and lately my dvd burner gives me a calibration error. I am trying to burn an iDVD movie on DVD so I can watch it on via the dvd player on tv. Any one know what i can do to remedy this error???

Buy a can of compressed air at Radio Shack or other store which sells computer accessories and blow a couple of short air blasts into the drive. The lens may be dirty or covered with dust. If that doesn't help, you're probably looking at replacing the drive.
