Just got a used Macbook 7.1 (released mid-2010 and discontinued, 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo). Which OS should I use for best performance?

Thanks!

Your Mac's Specs
MacBook Pro 13" 2.5 Ghz i5 with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.
I have the exact same computer. I use Lion. It works just like it should. If you look into it, the computer specs for Lion are:
OS X Lion - Technical Specifications

I did just upgrade my computer to a 500G 7200 RPM Hybrid HDD and upgraded my RAM to 8G instead of 4G.

I have a 2009 white mac book, Core 2 Duo, 4gb of ram. It feels sluggish and less responsive since I upgraded to Lion. Snow Leopard was way quicker on my MB. I don't know if there is any difference between mine and yours though.

I do enjoy the full screen apps in Lion. But for the most part I actually think I prefer the more streamlined interface of snow leopard.
