I have free MacScan on one of my Macs, and free Sophos on the other. I used free AVG Internet Security although the last time my web site was hacked it failed to inform me as it had before. Now I got a notice that there is an AVG update to it. But all the downloads on their site appear to be .exe files rather than for Mac and there is a notice it is now $50!
Is there a workable free or inexpensive alternate for web site protection for Macs? And would using it as well as using Sophos or MacScan on the actual Macs possibly cause problems? I see there is also a $30 upgrade to MacScan. Is it worth getting?
