I have a late 2007 MBP and got my faulty 8600m video card replaced last year. I have always wondered if the replacement card had any chance of having the same issues or if they fixed the problem in the cards they were using for replacements. I haven't noticed anything, but just am curious.

I have not heard a case of a replacement failing. I believe the original run was flawed, but subsequent runs addressed the manufacturing fault.

Thanks, that makes me feel better. I'm hoping that this runs for a good long life.
