What are you trying to run? The Boot Camp assistant is an OS X program. If you received an error about not being able to run in DOS mode, then you're not running the correct program.

You can not insert your Windows DVD and run it from OS X. If you do, you'll receive that error. Open the Boot Camp assistant read me instructions on your machine and read through them before attempting to install Windows.

Go into Utilities whilst running Leopard and click on Boot Camp. Print a copy of the instructions, and proceed from there with your unactivated Windows disc ready to install on prompt.
