Hello people.

I've been using my iPhone 4 for almost a year with no problems.
I've also been using the 'mail' app for the same length of time with complete success. (yahoo email)

Yesterday (02/09/2011), I sent myself an email and loaded the 'mail' app to view it only to find it wouldn't 'push' it through or receive it!

I logged on through safari and was able to view it there.

Since yesterday I haven't been able to receive emails to my iPhone 'mail' app.

I've tried the usual 'turn off & on' trick.
I've tried exiting the app completely an re-opening it.
I've tried unistalling the email account and reinstating it.
I've check all settings (although nothing has changed).

I know it's not the biggest deal in the world, but it's annoying when it worked fine for a year then just stopped for no apparent reason.

If anyone has any advice or knowledge on this I'd really appreciate the help.

Thanks.
Sam.

Is it with more than one email account? When my college changed their servers I needed to change some of the details to get my email working since it was now pop instead of imap or something.

Oh really?

I added a Hotmail account and that doesn't sync or update either.
I'm still having the same problem.

I'm assuming no-one has any knowledge of any similar problems?

I can only find examples of when OS 4.1 came out after the iPhone 4 release. I think those problems were bugs that have since been fixed.

Currently I'm still having to check using safari.
Maybe the next update will amend it.

I will keep updating this thread.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

*+*+*+ UPDATE +*+*+*

Today (15th Sept) I woke up and my 'Mail' had synced with all contents as it should be.

It took almost a month of ignoring it and it appears to have fixed it's self.

Very strange. I just hope it continues to work from now on haha.
