iMac with 2 extra monitors

Hello everybody

new here... currently PC user but wanting to try out a Mac next.

I do websites, and currently work with 2 monitors. I want to be able to have 3 monitors next time.

Considering the Core i7 iMac 27" that has 2 extra display ports. Can I use my current displays (DVI) with these ports and run with 3 screens in total?

I have two extra monitors and use this USB to DVI for the 3rd monitor and it works just fine

I do not have a 27 inch (yet) but the 27 includes only one DVI mini port and it would probably use a DVI mini port adapter to DVI. It may be cheaper to use two USB to DVI.

Thanks for the reply. As far as i could find out the 21" have 1 thunderbolt/mini displayport and the 27" has 2. You should be able to connect two monitors to the 27" using two minidisplay port to dvi adaptors.

Can anybody confirmed?
Otherwise the usb box looks interesting

I am currently running 4 additional monitors on my 27" i7 iMac.

I use the newertech USB to DVI adapter. Its the only one that worked for me after trying 4 other options.

I am still looking for a better alternative as they are $70 a piece and add extra cables and unwanted clutter.
