Hello!

I have been using rsync to backup my project files recently but I noticed that the filesizes are different in finders 'get info' between the source and the copy that was made.

I am using rsync -avx

Is this a known issue?

Insufficient data for meaningful answer.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but:

Are you using Finder's "get info" on a whole folder or just a single file?

If it's a single file, you'll get the size of the file.
If it's a folder, there are some hidden files such as resource forks (DS store or something) that may increase the size of the backup.

Without more information, that is all I can say.

Please tell us how much is the size difference? And are you checking the size of an entire folder or just an individual file?

Way... way too many specs to list.
What's the difference in file sizes?

More specifically, what's the byte count in terminal (ls -l)?
