I seem to be experiencing a major slow down with my internet browsing lately, many due to google chrome processes. Is there any way of speeding things up?

Thanks in advance.

Verifying disk permissions atm, and will repair. I will then clear browser history, cookies, and cache, in the hope that this fixes it.

Sometimes a modem/router reboot will help if the problem persists.

Open your Activity Monitor app and see what else is going on at the same time. In my experience with using Chrome, it's fast. However, I'm on a fast FIOS broadband network.

Remember (depending on how long this has been going on)...the slow-down could be on your end (your ISP).

You could check your internet upload & download speeds:

Cheers Nick, ISP is fine. I am still experiencing slow down, and my cup usage rockets so high I cannot do anything whilst browsing. I have to wait until the CPU usage drops. Upon checking, its Google Chrome which is using all the cpu power for some reason :(
