I deleted around 1200 files from my "music" itunes folder.
Tried to select them all while in trash and use "put back" feature to send it back to itunes but its not working. There is no "put back" option.

When I tried to do the same with other file (deleted from my desktop) everything was working fine and I was able to send file from trash back to desktop.

Does that mean its not working when deleting files from itunes? How can I return all files from trash back to itunes ?
Thanks.

Drag from the trash and drop into iTunes.

Thanks Bob, I know about this option but when I do it its not going into original folder. I had all my songs organised in different folders. I would like to return all songs in itunes where they were nicely organised.

If you've been managing your library, not gonna happen if you deleted them through iTunes.

I'd suggest if you're manually managing your iTunes library and your entire library fits on your internal drive, that you quit doing that and let iTunes manage it. iTunes will put them all in nicely arranged, easy to find folders and allow you to enjoy your music rather than managing your music.
