High pitched whine after sleep?

It's coming from the left side... and it only starts after I wake up my MBP from sleep... does anyone know the cause of this?

Some specs on your machine? The high pitched whine could be the fan, or it could be your hard drive spinning up after coming out of sleep.

OK, thanks for posting your specs. If the high pitched whine continues, make an appointment with your local Apple genius and have them look at. Your machine is new and under warranty. As I stated above, it could either be the cooling fan or the hard drive. Probably the hard drive spinning up after waking.
