In Safari, Top bar, View Menu. Click on Unhide Status Bar.

Works fine here on 2 computers with Lion 10.7.1. I will check and see if there is some other new option.

Is this in Full Screen or a window?

Are we talking the Bar on the bottom? That is the status bar.

That is the Menu Bar (some call it Toolbar) for OSX. In Safari the item called Status Bar is at the bottom. That is where the confusion came from.

In Full Screen, the Menu Bar goes away unless you move the mouse toward the top. I am not sure if there is a way around that or not. Checking now.

Yeah, that and not writing complete sentences.
Always be skeptical that posters are using terminology correctly. If they don't describe what they mean by "hwojabbie" you can't count on it being the real thing. Not that we should expect everyone to know all the terms Apple has chosen for things, there are too many!

Apple should provide users with a little bit of help learning what's different in a new OS version. But then, people would have to read/view it.

Anyone ever find out if you can keep the menu bar on top even when in full screen? I don't want it hidden. It's making me crazy.

Probably why it is called fullscreen.

The only work around is to pull the window to cover most of the screen and hide the dock.
