Hello gang.

Does anyone know of a good security software for the Mac. The type of thing I am looking for is to stop any unauthorized thumb drives or discs downloading anything from my machine without my knowledge. I used to use Internet Cleanup for this but it is now defunct for Lion. They are not upgrading it.

The ideal software would want my log in password to authorize the device before it could copy any files to it.

If no one else is using your Mac, log out and use a strongly encoded password. If other/s do use it, set up Guest Accounts.

Many thanks for your reply's. I'll set up a strong encoded password. Thinking about it, it looks like the best choice.

And as a suggestion use a typical phrase substituting numeric for alphabetical.

Such as 'it is a nice day'
