I was walking down the street (today is trash day) and there it was a CUBE BOX AND ALL!!! So i grabbed it. When I finished my walk i pluged it in and boom it booted up. Why would anyone throw out a working cube. Mind you it only has a 450MHz processor, so I ordered a 1.8GHz upgrade and I will install that when it gets here. Being on sick leave and being able to take walks during the day KICKS BUTT <-- keeping it clean ;)

Unfortunately there were no speakers or the speakers adapter so i went to CompUSA and got an imic

Geez! You must of done a "double-take" when you saw it sitting there. I remember a person on this forum finding an Apple 1 (wood case) in the trash, but not wanting to lug it home. That would've been worth some moolah too.

Has this person heard of Ebay????? What a waste, but hey at least you saved that little Macs life and provided it with a good home. It's former parents should be reported, its gotta be abuse, hehe.

I think Macman went all crazy up in Pennsylvania and tried to hit you with his Cube from a speeding car. What did you do?

Definitely a great find!

And there was me thinking I did well to get a G3 Power mac, monitor, keyboard, mouse and power macintosh 7500 today for £5!

Have fun with it!

did U need to add a fan to it? i mean, with the faster processor, it probally gets a lot more toasty inside :headphone
