So I have a really annoying problem with iMovie 11. I'm albout 30 minutes into my movie when the audio starts becoming really scratchy and crackly and the voice sounds really bad. So I restart my whole computer a couple of times after failing to change anything by just quitting iMovie. But it doesn't work. So I figured this much out:
-it's only iMovies problem, I played a random video online and the speakers had no problem; the voice was clear
-it's only the movie I'm working on that has this problem, the previous movies I have finished sound perfectly fine
-I tried deleting the background music on a video but the video's audio was bad
-I tried playing background music on a still photo but this time the music was scratchy
I realized that if i replace the clips with the same one (sorta like refreshing the original) the sound is ok, but I don't want to have to redo the hundreds of clips I edited for the movie. Is there an easier way to get rid of this scratchy audio problem? It seems to come up random; I can't tell if there's a pattern on where and when the scratchiness starts. It's getting really annoying and I don't want to redo my super long movie. Thanks everybody for your time!
