I own a MacBook pro, and I tried to use bootcamp to install Windows on it. I accidentally replaced the Mac OS with Windows XP. I just bought the MacBook a week ago and it never came with any discs. I dont know how I can get Mac OS back because I don't have any OS discs for Mac.

I would really love some help. If worst comes to worst, I'll take it back to Apple.

Thank you

Reboot the machine.

When you hear the chime, press the option key and hold it until you see the menu.

Select the Recovery HD.
You're going to need the password for your network if you're using wifi.

If you managed to delete that partition also, then you're probably going to have to take it in to Apple.

Just reinstalled using the Recovery HD on mine today. I'd like to know how it downloaded the balance of Lion without even asking me for the network password?
