Garage Sale at OWC

Thought I would let folks know that our "Mac Friends" over at OWC (macsales.com) are having a garage sale (they do this a number of times each year). Currently there are about 120 various items in the Garage Sale list.

I just purchased 12gig of ram for my 2009 Mac Pro for $70 bucks (about 50% off)...and OWC has an "old ram" rebate program where you can send them your original Apple ram or OWC purchased ram for a rebate (no other "3rd party" ram qualifies for the rebate). If I send in my six 1-gig ram sticks currently in my Mac Pro...I will get $4.00/stick = $24 bucks.

So subtract $24 for the rebate for the old ram from the $70 I paid for the 12 gig of ram...and I end up paying $46 bucks for 12 gig of ram (which normally would have cost close to $150).

- Airport Extreme Base Stations

- various iPad & iPod accessories
- a couple older MacBooks
- etc. etc.

Thanks for that, work just told me to buy a macbook, so that's a pretty good price - even when customs will add the 20% sales tax when it comes into the uk

Awesome! I think the used computers come with a 60-day OWC Warranty...which is certainly better than buying a used computer off of e-Bay (no warranty).

60 days should certainly be enough time to find out of anything is not functioning properly. These MacBooks can certainly use a ram upgrade...1 gig is pretty "light".
