iSync issue

iMac C2D 24" and MB C2D
I recently got a bluetooth phone that I wanted to use iSync with. THere is just one problem; I can't open iSync. The icon for iSync is the generic application icon, and even when i reinstall it stays as such. When I try to open it, nothing happens. Any advice?
