Problems with flash players and safari

Hi!
I've got a problem with safari. It asked me to download adobe flash player to watch videos and such. I downloaded it, installed it, but it keeps asking me to download it again. What's the problem? What am I supposed to do?

P.S. I have restarted the laptop.

The file you downloaded from Adbe is a .dmg (Disk Image). You need to open that up, then run the installer or drag and drop what's inside there to the applications folder.

Did you do that step?

yes, i did install it. everything works in firefox, but not in safari.

OK - try repairing your hard drive. This guide has three methods - the preferred one is booting up from your Install DVD:
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck

thanks for the link. unfortunately, i do not have the cds with me, so i used the first method. it didn't work..

oh God, i am so stupid. i think it doesn't get worse.. i looked into the settings and it turned out that the box where it says something like "turn on plugins" (my laptop's in russian) wasn't ticked.
