Snap to grid help

I like to set my folders up with the snap to grid option, however it seems to revert back to the default setting to do nothing, every once in a while. Does anyone know why this is and how I can make that setting stick? This happened with snow leopard and now happens with Lion too.

"It seems to" is rather vague. If it happens to a specific window, that's a computer problem. If it's set in one window, and not another, that's a user problem.

Try this: Go to the highest level window and set it the way you want it. Now hit the Use as defaults button. This should make any other window that you have not altered manually conform to what you just set up. Once you find and change all those other ones, you should be good.
