I have a Powermac G4 466 with 600 something MB ram. I am looking to upgrade the processor with a PowerLogix PowerForce47 G4/2.0GHz with 512K 1:1 L2 Cache. Is anyone familiar with this processsor or know of a better one to use. It must be under $400. Thanks in advance. Rick

Thanks, I was justr at xlr8yourmac.com and they had a nice review of the Powerlogic. i like the new gigabit's 2gb processor. I have read that some peolpe are leary of overclocking the new giga does not do that and the powerlogic does. What is your take. Rick

I don't know much about overclocking with the Macs because I have stayed away from it. I will say that xlr8yourmac.com is a very good site with a lot of good information about upgradeing all the older macs. I visit there all the time to keep up. He has so much input from his readers.

I upgraded my 400Mhz G4 tower to a 1.3Ghz G4 Tower with the PowerLogix upgrade kit. Took all of 10Min to upgrade and boot back up. I've had it for 2 years now and have been very pleased with, I'd reccomend PL to anyone.
