Right Channel on head phone port

I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with their Left or Right channels on their laptop was going out on them? My right channel has completely gone out and I have switched headphones in case it might have been them.

Did you check the audio balance in the audio control panel?

I am new to MAC and I looked around, but I was unable to find the Audio Control Panel. Where would that be located under?

System pref, then Audio.

I had this same problem when I first got my Powerbook. Its def the balance.
