Green and gray screen

So today I was viewing some websites and when I scrolled down using my mouse wheel all of a sudden I got gray screen that had small textured lines running up and down. The computer did not respond to anything so I turned it off and back on. I then went a couple hours with no problems until now it happened again when I was scrolling but this time it is a green screen. I am running Lion. Any ideas?
