Switching OS

Hey guys ...

I just installed Steam but it requires me to update to Snow Leopard or Lion before I can install most of the games.

So I finally decided I wanted to upgrade my Mac but here is my problem ... To upgrade to Lion I have to download the App Store which however only works from Snow Leopard onwards. I run on 10.5.8 ...

Can someone tell me how they expect you to upgrade to Lion if you cant get the App Store ?

Any help would be well appreciated ...

You should be able to pick up copies of Snow leopard on ebay for around the original price of $29

So there is no chance I can do it online ?

Why would they even make it that complicated ...

You can't do it online unless you have the App Store - the MAS is the only legal internet based distribution channel. You can pick up Lion on a USB stick now through the Apple store if you so choose.

It ain't complicated if you research your exact needs first.
