hi,

I've been using lion since it came out. Ive found this one feature extremely annoying. In finder the default "view" is the boxes with the arrows, where when you click on one it goes to the next box and you can see the whole thing. I really hate this view lol. I like the thumbnail view. Is there anyway to change the default to the thumbnail view without having to click the thumbnail button? Because sometimes when you press the thumbnail button it wont even work properly, and when you press the back arrow to leave the folder your in, it will just go back to the 3 box thing. I'm on 10.7.1 with a 13in mbp

thanks

Close all Finder windows, open one, press command+j and turn on "Always open in icon view" and "Browse in icon view", then close the Finder window again.
Now when you open new Finder windows, they should have the settings you gave to the single window.
