Best Buy Back up and 10.7

So my wife and I just got a 27" iMac with 10.7 on it. She has a crashed windows 7 laptop and had best buy "pull her files" on to a hard drive. Yet we can't seem to see any of the file just the folders and can't find her most recent stuff anymore. What are we missing?

You'll need to ask the "Geeks" at Best Buy just how they copied her data onto the hard drive and whether or not they copied the files along with the folders. Your new iMac should be able to read the hard drive even if it was formatted to NTFS.
