os lion issues

i recently upgraded to lion from snow leopard,for some reason when i go into launchpad i get two of everything safari,stickies and a host of others,any suggestions please

Have you modified your Applications folder and moved your Apps into sub folders within Applications prior to installing Lion? If so, then this is likely to be the cause of your duplicate Apps in Launchpad. You may have retained the Apps associated with your previous OSX version which were not replaced with those associated with Lion when you upgraded. A search in the forums for "Launchpad applications duplicated" will further explain your issue and provide corrective actions.
