I just installed Waves Shell 8.0 Complete (some audio plugins for Pro Tools). It asked me to restart when it said it installed successfully and I started getting a startup error. Every time I restart, it tells me to restart again. When I power up, same thing. I tried using shift to get to safe mode, but it doesn't start up with that either. I have really important music sessions on my hard drive, so getting that off in a worst-case scenario is super important.

The error message is:

Continuation of the first line is here:

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch in advance.

The KP message is saying it can't find a driver for the device. There's not enough of the KP message displayed for us to see exactly where it's crashing at.

If the machine won't startup in Safe boot mode and if you don't have a backup, your chances of getting your music data back are limited. If you have access to another Mac with a firewire port, and if your Mac has a firewire port, you can try booting in Target disk mode.

You gave us no info on your hardware. Target disk mode is explained here.
