Copying files

I am unable to copy picture files from an external drive (My Book) to another external drive (My Passport). Purpose to have an off site backup of my digital pictures. Using an IMac.

Is there a hardware, software or operator problem?

Why don't you tell us how you're copying them and what format both drives are using?

I was dragging and dropping. Both drives were previously used with my PC.

Problem solved. Formatted Passport for OS, working fine now. 23 yrs PC, 2 weeks IMac, tired and not thinking.
