Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro, a standard Thomson wireless router with 4 ethernet ports. connected to the router is my network printer and NAS back up device and a PC. When I connect to the router via ethernet all the devices are visible in Finder and I can connect to them and access data and printing. When I connect to the router via wireless the devices are not available or visible in Finder

Can anyone help with this?

Is there an option in any of the settings in the Thomson to enable/disable broadcast forwarding?

I have looked through the router settings and there doesn't appear to be any reference to broadcast forwarding

While connected wired check and make sure sharing is enabled then go back to Finder
when in wireless mode and see if under shared the devices show up.

The devices show up when connected via ethernet, as soon as i disconnect ethernet they disappear in finder. When I connect by wireless they do not re-appear (Shared heading not shown at all). when I re-connect ethernet the shared heading appears and the devices appear 1 by 1 as they are found

Just to make sure, is the IP address in the same grouping if it's ethernet or wireless? In other words, if the address on ethernet is 192.168.1.x, is the ip address on wireless also 192.168.1.x?

What model NAS ?
