I think Mac Forums needs a shoutbox for people to chat and communicate quickly.
what? what is that anyway? i checked it out and i dont get it
Did you miss our Sticky Notice regarding the Mac Forums IRQ channel?
We've had a shoutbox in the past, if I remember correctly. Never added very much value to the forums IMO. If you want to scribble random thoughts, I'd say create a Twitter account
its public instant messenger.
if you didnt know i am the one who made this post so i think i know what it is. i was asking that question to someone else
I think Rob was trying to help by offering a more familiar metaphor. Besides, it doesn't matter who answers the question, as long as the answer makes sense to you, right?
We just mis understood eachother. He didn't know i made the topic and thought that I didn't know what a shoutbox was, but really I was asking what something else was.
Yeah, I think he was responding to your question about what the IRC is.
No i wish he was responding to what the IRC was. I thought he was responding to what a shoutbox was. LOL
If you check out post #4 in this thread..."robduckyworth" was clearly replying to your question in post #3...about what IRC was.

Maybe you were a bit confused as to what a Sticky Notice is? Surely you know what an IRQ channel is. Sticky notices are at the head of the forum on top to be read first.
I was directing your attention to the Sticky Notice which gives information about the IRQ channel.
