trouble importing into iMovie 11

I'm trying to import iMovie HD projects into iMovie 11 and so far it doesn't work. Ive run all the updates and checked other forums and i can only find basic instructions on how to import.

It imports as far as I can tell, but when it finishes and I select the project in iMovie 11, there is no content and nothing to edit. Just the title. Has anybody else had this issue and know of a way to solve it?

At what stage is the iMovieHD video that you're importing? Clips in the clip viewer will go into the Events Library, and only clips that are in the timeline will go into a Project. Transitions and audio will be lost, although I'm not sure if this is clip audio or audio that's been added.
