iMac - OS X 10.5.8.

Hubby with admin rights - mouse preferences do NOT save.

Me (other user account with admin rights) - mouse preferences save just fine.

Tried booting in safe mode to see if that made a difference. Nope.

Tried to figure out how to modify these preferences via a system pref (plist) file - no luck.

Not sure why preferences are saved for me when my poor hubby has to do without the ability to right-click (that's all I wanted to do is set the right button to the secondary setting). Just refuses to save any changes to the mouse.

HELP - and thank you!

OK - I replaced my hubby's mouse driver plist file with mine and now it's working. Hooray.

com.apple.driver.AppleHIDMouse.plist - found in the Library/Preferences folder for the user.
