I've had my iMac desktop for about two weeks and love it. I've heard that an anti-virus program is not necessary. I'm not running any windows programs on my mac. I have downloaded Lion to my system. If an anti-virus program is necessary which one is the best? Any help would be appreciated.

Well most experienced Mac power users do no use antivirus at all. However if you are paranoid about this coming from a Windows background, try the free ClamXAV2 by all means and suggest not spending your hard earned on Nortons etc.

Should you ever decide to run Windows via BootCampo etc., make sure you have AV installed on that partition, and the best freeware seems to be Microsoft Security Essentials.
