Is this possible?
for some reason, the backup of a Snow Leopard macbook I took showed as being successful.
HOWEVER, when booting using a Leopard DVD (I don't have SL dvd) it doesn't show up on the list.

BUT, 2 other backups of other systems show up (OSX 10.7).

Why is this backup not in the list to restore??

Have you tried using your SL disk? Are you sure your SL backup is actually on the drive?

no as I said, I don't have a SL disk since it was lost.
I am using a Leopard disk to boot.
is this why my SL backups don't show up in the list?

tia

edit: yes I'm sure the SL time machine backup is in the USB drive.. I see 3 backups.. I also re-ran the backup and it completed sucessfully.
But the Leopard Boot disk time machine restore still does not see it.
